An update from the Board and Clubhouse staff

These are worrying and uncertain times for all of us, the ongoing implications of coronavirus reach deep into our homes and the lives of our family, friends and loved ones. As a community this is the time to pull together for the common good.

One of the special things about being a member is the sense of family that we have in Porsche Club GB, it is a place where friendships are made through our common passion for all things Porsche. Our Porsche Club GB family is important to us and our priority remains the safety and health of our Porsche Club GB family, this includes you; our members, officials and Clubhouse team.

The situation remains very dynamic. We won't bombard you with unnecessary communications, when you see an email or other communications from your Club, it will be important. Please take some time to read it.

Events
The postponement of our physical events, drives, meetings, tours, trackdays and motorsport will remain in place for the foreseeable future.

Our Clubhouse team are working on a Late Summer / Autumn schedule which will be an exciting and dynamic compressed season, assuming a return to a new-normal. Details will follow once we all have some certainty.

Clubhouse
To support our Clubhouse team, we have taken the decision to close Cornbury House to visitors with immediate effect. The team remain contactable by email and post. The team will move to working from home for the coming weeks and months. We ask you to be patient in these challenging times whilst the team settle into their new routines. Should you need to, you can find the necessary contact details here.

Connect
At the heart of our Club is a community and we are putting in place many opportunities for you to connect to your existing (or new) Porsche Club GB family and friends over the coming weeks and months virtually, we have some great ideas up our sleeves, so watch out for those emails!

Meanwhile this is a great time to connect to our Club through FacebookInstagramTwitter our Forum, or visit our Website.

Porsche Post
We received some fantastic feedback from the latest issue of Porsche Post and how it kept you entertained during the first weekend of restricted movement. To keep the magazine going whilst stricter measures are in place we need your help. If you and your Porsche have a story that you would like to share, then please email editor@porscheclubgb.com with a brief summary and a small selection of suitable photographs.

Membership Fee
During these exceptional times we will suspend our planned membership fee increase.

Awards
Our awards are a fantastic way to recognise the amazing work that happens within our Club throughout the year and the teams and individuals who go above and beyond to make our Club a better place. Thank-you to everyone who has made a nomination, the submissions are now closed.

We will announce the winners once they have been judged and will arrange an award giving ceremony at a suitable event later in the season.

AGM
Our Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) was due to take place on 19 April. In light of the current situation we will postpone our AGM to 5 July, which is within the time allowed by our constitution. We will observe the situation nearer the time and if required we will make further alternate arrangements. With the postponement we are happy to accept questions up until 19 June, please send your questions to the Clubhouse addressed to our Club Secretary.
