A message from your new Club Chairman

Mark Hamilton is the new Chair of Porsche Club Great Britain

I am honoured to be elected by the board to lead this prestigious Club, a Club that has weathered the Covid storm remarkably well when compared to many other car clubs that have, sadly, faltered.

As we move into the New Year, I believe it is very important to continue to embrace the core values that drive us as members, namely passion for our Porsches, respect for our fellow members, and taking opportunities to enjoy our fellow members company and friendships.

We have a thriving community that loves Porsche cars in all its forms (from road driving, to cars and coffee, to trackdays, competing and racing, to preparing for pride of ownerships and concours, to modifications, the list is endless).

Despite being one of the most challenging years that I can recall, we approach Christmas with higher than expected membership renewals, a healthy bank balance, and a great team in the Clubhouse and in the communities.

Reflecting our mission of being at the heart of Porsche ownership in the UK, my vision of the future is simple:

  • To provide unrivalled diversity and choice of events and activities for all our members
  • To maintain and extend excellent relationships with Porsche and other key partners and suppliers.
  • To foster a friendly welcoming atmosphere for all our members at all levels in the club

To this end, I would like to announce 3 new roles on the board with immediate effect to help support this vision:

Ken Mack will be moving from Futures Director to Communications and Stakeholder Engagements director. Ken will set the strategic direction for PCGB communications and stakeholder engagement.

Nick Jeffery will be moving from Experiences to Human Resources and Operations director. Nick will be evaluating how our Club operates, setting direction & coordination of the Club working in partnership with the Club General Manager

Richard Watling joins the board as Marketing and Partnerships director. I am personally delighted that Richard has agreed to join us. Richard brings a wealth of experience with him having worked on several previous boards at PCGB.

Phil, David, Chris and myself will continue in role as per the previous board. On a personal note, I am really looking forward to getting out driving again and not feeling stuck behind a Zoom keyboard!
