You’ll find us at Excel this weekend for the 2019 London Classic Car Show, where a fresh cup of coffee and warm welcome awaits.

We’re honoured to be displaying a beautifully restored Porsche 550, chassis 0020, which left the factory with its blue paintwork on 2nd February 1955 and was shipped to New York. Racing is what this car was designed to do and exactly what the original owner, Art Bunker, did - entering the car for its first race, the 1955 12 hours of Sebring. While a DNS may not have been the ideal start, things soon picked up with a number of class wins in races organised by the Sports Car Club of America.

A two-year restoration began in 2015 with work carried out by Porsche specialist Hackenberg Restaurierungen in Germany and engine work completed by Prill Porsche Classics here in the UK.

You can see this fantastic Porsche yourself on the Club’s stand all weekend, in the main hall next to all the action of the Grand Avenue.
