Legends come to life at Le Mans Classic

A motoring festival like no other - Le Mans Classic returns this July.

A motoring festival like no other, Le Mans Classic celebrates the cars which became legends of the Circuit de la Sarthe. The Biennial event combines historic motor racing with infield and anniversary displays at one of the world’s most iconic circuits.

Expect an even larger Porsche presence this year with the manufacturer earmarking the prestigious event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of production.

One of this year’s highlights will see a special single-make race of 80 racing Porsches ranging from early Fifties 356s up to a 2.8-litre RSR from 1973, with everything in between from series cars to homologation specials and even selected prototypes.

Among the 389 drivers registered to race across the festival are Derek Bell (Porsche 917 LH 1969), Jochen Mass (Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0L 1974) and Stéphane Ortelli (Porsche 904/4 GTS 1964)

Porsche Club members wishing to immerse themselves in the spirit of Le Mans are encouraged to contact Lycian Events, who offer a fully catered, hassle free, fun weekend. Staying at the ‘Village on The Curves’, Club members can enjoy track-side views long into the night and even watch the racing while tucking into a full-English the following morning!
