Introducing the new Porsche 718 GTS

Tailored for sporting responsiveness and athletic style.

Porsche is expanding the choice of its two-seat mid-engined sports cars with the introduction of the new 718 Boxster GTS and 718 Cayman GTS.

True to the Porsche GTS spirit, the output of the 2.5-litre, four-cylinder flat ‘boxer’ engine has been increased to 365 hp (269 kW) courtesy of a new intake system and an optimised turbocharger. These improvements generate 15 hp (11 kW) more power compared with the 718 S model, and up to 35 hp (26 kW) more power than the previous 981 GTS models. A manual six-speed gearbox is standard, with the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) double-clutch transmission available as an option.

In keeping with the traditional dynamic emphasis of Porsche GTS models, standard equipment includes the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) with a mechanical rear axle limited slip differential and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which lowers the body by ten millimetres.

More power for more performance
The maximum torque of 430 Nm provides responsive levels of outright acceleration. Furthermore, this pulling power is developed between 1,900 and 5,000 rpm for in-gear flexibility. When combined with the PDK and Launch Control function of the Sport Chrono Package, each GTS model can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds. The top speed for both is 180mph. In line with the Porsche ethos of intelligent performance, the 718 Boxster GTS and 718 Cayman GTS offer fuel efficiency of up to 34.4 mpg Combined, corresponding to 186 g/km CO2.

Typical GTS: black styling cues hint at sporting emphasis
The GTS models stand out among the 718 range not only in terms of their dynamic technology, but also their styling. The new Sport Design front apron hints at its sporting character. As is typical for GTS models, the front light modules and the Bi-Xenon headlights are black-tinted. At the rear, the tinted tail lights, black logos, black apron and centrally positioned black tailpipes of the standard sports exhaust system give the GTS a unique appearance. Black GTS logos at the base of the doors and 20-inch wheels painted in black (satin finish) offer an eye-catching side profile.

Porsche Track Precision App
The interior ambience also picks up the GTS genes. The stopwatch of the Sport Chrono Package (included as standard) is integrated as a central component of the fascia. The seats feature Alcantara® centres, as is customary in a Porsche GTS model. The sports seats Plus with GTS logos on the headrests can be electronically adjusted in two ways and provide increased lateral support and comfort. In addition, the interior features a high proportion of Alcantara®; on the steering wheel trim, centre console and armrests, for example. Furthermore, drivers with a particular passion for sports driving are assisted by the Porsche Track Precision App, which enables the driver to automatically record, display and analyse driving data on their smartphone.

The 718 GTS models are available to order now and arrive in Porsche Centres in the UK and Ireland from mid-December 2017.
