Porsche Club has made a fantastic start to our 2017 Calendar of Events with another successful stint at Autosport International.

A variety of Porsche models were on display as the Club showcases our broad spectrum of motorsport activities from our Race Championship to our popular member-only trackdays.

The Porsche Club Championship is perfect for those seeking true track competition, with three classes providing tight racing, while the Speed Championship is an ideal route into the world of motorsport. The Club also runs a successful Hillclimb Championship is for those seeking to compete at the highest level of Hillclimbs in Porsches.

Using the backdrop of the Club’s Race Centre, the Club’s display included 2016 Race Champion Andy Toon’s newly prepared 996 C2, Tim Barber’s Speed Championship winning 996 GT3 RS, Paul Seagrave’s 986 Boxster and Gordon Weston’s 924 S.

One of the most popular cars on the stand was a 1970 911 ST, restored and supplied by Historika Classic Porsche. One of seven factory STs built that year, the car was chosen to compete in the Tour de France Automobile and was modified specifically for the event to be as light as possible with many one-off features.

The Club’s next national event is the London Classic Car Show at the Excel from Thursday, 23rd to Sunday, 26th February.
