Group C legends return to Le Mans

A new partnership between the Group C Racing association and Peter Auto will see the iconic cars return for Le Mans classic.

A new partnership between The Group C Racing Association and Peter Auto, organisers of historic racing grids, will see the return of the iconic Group C cars at each of the circuits on the French organiser’s calendar.

The partnership will see a field of 25 cars on European circuits and motorsport festivals including the 2016 Le Mans Classic.

In force from 1982 to 1993, the Group C regulations led to the creation of legendary cars that wrote some of the most glorious pages in the history of the Le Mans 24 hours and the Endurance World Championship.

With their quintessential appearance, the Group C racers hold an irresistible fascination for people of all ages. The cars are still capable of performances very close to those of the present-day prototypes, with top speeds in excess of 300 km/h.

The Peter Auto meetings will be announced later this month and will include the Spa-Classic, the Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or, the Dix Mille Tours and of course Le Mans Classic.
