Prescott Sets The Scene For A Final Round Showdown

Howells and Dyson slug it out at Prescott

Eight Porsches were entered for the 11th round of the Petro-Canada Lubricants Porsche Club National Hillclimb Championship at Prescott Hillclimb over the weekend of 7 / September. Although Saturday started off rather cold, by Sunday the conditions were almost perfect, with warm sunshine and a gentle breeze.  The improved conditions it certainly seemed to help with Richard York, David Dyson, Peter Turnbull, Duncan Andrews and Paul Howells all putting up personal best times. Paul even breaking the Class 1 record twice.

The ever-improving David Dyson equalling the class record time of Christian Ayres with a time of 47.02 to take the win in the roadgoing class from Robert Lancaster Gaye on 48.45 and Simon Tarling on 49.89

In the modified class both Peter Turnbull and Duncan Andrews put in much improved times, but Paul Howells was again in a class of his own breaking the class record twice to take the win with a time of 43.92. Followed by Duncan on 45.48 and Peter on 45.61

We really have had some some superb competition this season with PB’s (Personal Best times) appearing at virtually every meeting. Hopefully the weather will hold for the final round at Loton Park on 28 / 29 September.
