2019 Champions To Receive Omologato Watches

Omologato 'British Racing Green' wacth awarded to championship winners

The 2019 Porsche Club Motorsport season is fast approaching, but already the end of year awards are being finalised with sponsors Omologato awarding one of their sought-after 'British Racing Green' range of watches to the winner of each of the club’s four competitive categories:

- Petro-Canada Lubricants Porsche Club Championship with Pirelli
- Petro-Canada Lubricants Porsche Club Speed Championship with Pirelli
- Petro-Canada Lubricants Porsche Club National Hillclimb Championship
- Classic Restoracing Championship

Omologato supply a range of motorsport-inspired high-quality watches, and have forged links with a number of high-profile motorsport names such as Porsche Club patron Richard Attwood and Porsche legend Derek Bell.

“I have always loved Porsches, dreamt of owning one for a long time, and am lucky enough to actually do so now,” said Shami Kalra, founder of the brand.  “I started getting involved with Porsche GB in the UK when Omologato started doing events, and then we started to talking to Porsche Club GB.

“We have worked with Porsche retail, Porsche GB, the Carrera Cup and now Porsche Club Motorsport, we have gone almost a complete circle and relationships like that always work well and are more genuine. We had our pop-up shop at the Festival of Porsche last September which went well, and it works for us as it puts us in front of an audience who understand the motorsport background of our watches and is brilliant for us.”

The Petro-Canada Lubricants Porsche Club Championship with Pirelli title is up for grabs for drivers in the top two classes of that series, while the Classic Restoracing Championship runs as class three of that series, with the cars having their own races at a number of meetings across the year.

Petro-Canada Lubricants Porsche Club Speed Championship with Pirelli is a multi-class championship featuring a combination of sprint and hillclimb events, while the Petro-Canada Lubricants Porsche Club National Hillclimb Championship focuses just on the challenge of some of the country’s leading hillclimb venues.
