2019 National Concours

The Garden Court of Hanbury Manor provided a tranquil setting for our 2019 National Concours d'Elegance.

Visitors to Hanbury Manor were treated to a stunning Autumn day as we celebrated some of the finest Porsches from within the Club. The unseasonably warm conditions couldn’t have been any better as entrants from across the country gathered into the walled garden of the Jacobean Manor House.

Hosted by Louise Goodman, trophies for the winning entrants were presented by multiple Le Mans winner John Fitzpatrick before the top three cars were welcomed back to be displayed on the judge’s plinth.

National Concours d’Elegance Champion 2019 Ian Wallis

Ian has many years of association with the Porsche brand, being fortunate enough to currently own three models, a 2007 Cayman Design Edition 1, a 1985 911 Carrera Sport and his award
winning 1968 911 T pictured above.

Whilst chatting with Ian, we asked him to sum up the appeal of Porsche in three words, he replied: “Stunning, thrilling, reliable.”

Ian was amazed when his car was announced the winner of our National event in 2019. When asked about his thoughts on concours events he commented: “Take part for the joy of it and the rest will follow”
