To kick off the automotive season in style, we are looking forward once again to welcoming Porsche Club members to one of the most exciting automotive venues in the north, The Motorist, on Sunday, 21 May. Perfectly situated in the heart of Yorkshire, The Motorist is the ideal venue for a full day of expert talks, tasty food and of course their famous northern hospitality.
With a coffee house, licensed bar and restaurant, and an onsite store with something for everyone, The Motorist is designed very simply as a place to go and a destination if you appreciate vehicles of every variety. Porsche Club GB will again be putting on a full day of entertainment and after the success of last year, with over 1,000 Porsche enthusiasts attending, tickets are likely to sell out.
A brief schedule for the day is as follows:
10am - Event opens
11am - Pirelli Tyre Talk
A member of the Pirelli team will talk you through the technicalities of tyre design and what N Rating means before answering any questions you may have. To be held in the Restaurant / lounge area of the main building.
12.30pm - Motorsport
A brief history of Porsche in Hillclimbing and how you can get involved in Motorsport through trackdays, sprints, hillclimbs, racing or Marshalling. One of the PCGB Sprint & Hillclimb championship contenders will join us, and his 911 competition car is on display. To be held in the Restaurant / lounge area of the main building.
2.30pm - Prize Giving
Prizes will be awarded for the best times set on the Pirelli Simulator, Scalextric tracks and the winner announced for the Porsche voted car of the day!
Tickets are available using the link below, priced at £15 per person for Club members and £20 per person for non-members. Your ticket includes either a breakfast roll on arrival or hog roast at lunch as well as a tea/coffee or soft drink.
