Former BTCC and Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion Tim Harvey is our latest guest for a virtual “evening with” on Wednesday, 24 February.
Harvey made his British Touring Car Championship in 1987 and went on to become a household name after claiming the 1992 title. In total he enjoyed 16 race wins and racked up an impressive 48 podium finishes before leaving the championship at the end of the 2002 season.
His racing career however was far from over and after two guest appearances in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, he became a full-time driver in 2004, and won the single-make championship in 2008 and again in 2010.
Harvey now commentates on the races he used to compete in as part of the ITV coverage. He is also Chassis and Development Consultant for RPM Technik, lending his expertise in test driving, suspension and track preparation to their CSR programme.
