Devil’s Bridge - North Yorkshire

We highly recommend that you start with breakfast or lunch at The Durham Ox in the charming village of Crayke. Better still: book a room the night before so you can wake up in one of their cosy rooms and look out over the panoramic views of the Vale of York too.

Heading west through the picturesque cathedral city of Ripon and on to the cobbled market square of Grassington - famed for throwing a handful of cheery festivals throughout the year - you sweep around the Yorkshire Dales and pop up into Malham. If you’re feeling fit, park up in the village, strap on your walking boots and head up to see geological marvel Malham Cove, or ‘Janet’s Foss’, a charming natural waterfall and pool. If not - this route takes you right past the cove so you can still enjoy views of it.
