RAF 100 Celebrations

Mark Ryan of Driving Scotland has kindly invited Scotland South to display up to 12 club cars at the RAF 100 Celebration, Broomhall House, Charlestown, Dunfermline, Fife, KY11 3DU on Saturday 15th September.

Broomhall is the ancestral home of Lord Charles Bruce and has an historical significance as at the start of WW2, the very first aerial engagement of conflict between British and German aircraft took place within half a mile of the house with anti-aircraft shrapnel taken from the roof now on display. See website here.

The day’s events start with a processional drive northbound from South Queensferry over one of the bridges to Broomhall House where there will 100 ‘Best of British’ most iconic cars from the last 100yrs on display, various car club stands, refreshments, music and displays by the RAF, a radio controlled model Battle of Britain air display and currently being worked on, a fly-past by the RAF.

Cost per car on the Porsche stand will be £30 and refreshments/breakfast roll/hog roast will be £10 per person (one off payment).

This event is not open to the general public, providing an exclusive opportunity to enjoy a superb showing of classic, sports and supercars across the years and help support the work of the RAF and the RAF Benevolent fund.

There will also be a celebratory black-tie dinner on Friday 14th September priced at £60pp at the Hilton Hotel, North Queensferry. If you require details on this or any further information please contact Mark Ryan at; mark-ryan@sky.com
