Hi,looking for advice please. 2001 Boxter 986. 2.7 engine. I'm looking at ordering replacement brake discs front & rear,I have come to order rear ones but supplier is saying there are 2 sizes, a 292 mm & 299.mm.
Is there a set size for model year ? Or anyway of knowing other than removing and physically measuring current discs?.
Thanks

Mike,

The different disc diameters could be down to base car versus the S version, so most likely yours will be 292mm, but the best way to check is to measure them.

Note that there were a number of updates between MY2000 and MY2001, including the availability of PSM which could have included the brakes.

Hi Jeff .
Thanks for the advice, I thought also that the difference would be between the standard & S versions. I'm.looking at changing from standard discs to upgraded drilled discs but supplier is asking to confirm size before dispatch. I will have to measure them but I think standard will be 292 mm & S 298 mm.
Many thanks
