Hand brake cable repair

Has anyone done a repair to replace the hand brake cable. How difficult / big a job is this? Thanks!

Haynes manual covers this well.
Job is quite involved, and a fair bit of disassembly, but all basic tools.
One of those take your time task, long morning when I did mine many years ago.

I have changed the cables many times. The main issue I have had is the adjustment nut being seized due to rust.
What has happened? has the cable broken? The Porsche manual states the handbrake should eb on after 4 clicks, 5 clicks max.
You will have to take out the heater control box between the seats if you have one. Porsche manual recommends removing the passenger seat.
Make sure the handbrake is balanced when you replace the cable. Manual recommends giving the cable a strong pull four times and checking the balance.
A fiddly but doable job.
